Lockdown 2020 prompted personal space. For Weston, It was an unprecedented time for all of us, but especially for those who live alone. This screen print is of the artist alone in nature as a metaphor of soul. It has been a period for some of us to have enforced time with ourselves. A stop in the frenetic pace of life and time to unwind, unload or unravel. At best, like a period of deep reflection during a spiritual retreat, lockdown has allowed space to nurture a deeper connection with self. A space to ask the question; what does my soul need? And Jennifer, her soul needed this space to reflect her life more fully and to manifest that in the external world.
