Pieters painting is informed by her experience during the early days of lock-down. The rather frightening pandemic had a joyful side. She walks in the countryside through woods and glades bursting with spring flowers and the dominant sound of birdsong rather than traffic noise. The thought that even in a really difficult situation, there is a positive aspect.
